Dear developers,
Firstly, thanks for making the TDS simulator freely available to the community. I am trying to fit my TDS profile corresponding to an austenitic stainless steel after 7 days of desorption in air (resting time=604800s) and I find that I need a very large number of temperature evaluations to get a smooth curve for the hydrogen in the lattice, which makes the simulation very slow. Do you have any suggestion on how to overcome this problem?
Many thanks,
Alfredo
Long resting time - Temperature evaluations
Dear AlfredoZafra,
Many thanks for your comment; it is much appreciated. After checking the influence of long resting time, we identified that, for the model without hydrogen traps, the temperature domain was uniformly sampled (unlike the Orinani and MF models). This causes a dense sampling to be required for a smooth flux curve, as you found. We have resolved this issue, and you should no longer encounter it in the latest version of the software.
